GIVE ME AWAY
When I die, if you need to weep, Cry
for your brother or sister Walking the street beside you. And when you need to put your arms around anyone, Give
them what you need to give me. I want to leave you something ... Something better than words or sounds - Look for
me in the people I've known or loved ... And if you cannot give me away, At least let me live in your eyes, And not
on your mind. You can love me most by letting hands touch hands, By letting bodies touch bodies, And letting go of
children who need to be free. Love doesn't die; people do. So when all that's left of me is love, Give me away.
-- Anon.

The mission of the Faddis Family Foundation is to honor the memory
of Woody and Millie Faddis by supporting efforts in which they believed and which bring hope, including the promotion of equal
opportunities for all in education and work; Jazz and creative endeavors; and healthy living and the environment. Among other
projects, the Faddis Family Foundation, a private family non-profit organization, will award annual scholarships in American
History (to a graduating senior at Ygnacio Valley High School, in the Mount Diablo Unified School District in California)
and in Jazz Studies (to students in programs with which Jazz trumpet virtuoso Jon Faddis is affiliated). When possible, additional
grants to other appropriate organizations may be made.

Everybody can be great ... Because anybody can
serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to
serve. You only need a heart full of grace ... A soul generated by love. -- Martin Luther King, Jr.
